All of us know very well that fast food is extremely unhealthy, and that it contains tons of toxins and additives, and still, somehow, people hardly ever manage to resist it.
The favorite meal in the United States for millions of people is the hot dog. The more alarming fact is that among those millions of people, there are children. The Americans consume around 7 billion hot dogs every year, despite most of them knowing that the food that they are eating is extremely unhealthy.
The production of hot dogs includes beef, pork and chicken meat, but the process also includes other remains of these animals, like fat, claws, legs, and skin, as well as a number of additives like corn syrup, salt, and monosodium glutamate, in order to improve the taste.
The scariest thing amongst these unhealthy ingredients is the creation process of carmine flavors and monosodium glutamate. They are derived from the shells of small bugs, which are boiled in sodium carbonate and ammonia.
What is more, there was a research that was conducted by researchers from the University of Hawaii, and the research concluded that processed meat will increase your chances of developing pancreatic cancer by up to 67 percent. This kind of “meat” includes additives like nitrates and nitrites, which are very dangerous ingredients, which raise the risk of bladder, stomach, bowel and pancreatic cancer.
People from the American Institute for Cancer Research say that only one hot dog may increase the chances of colorectal cancer by a whopping 21 percent!
Keep this information in mind every time you have a craving for a hot dog. It may taste good, and you may find yourself satisfied for the next two hours, but the damage that you are consciously doing to your body can sometimes be irreversible!
