Natural ways to remove fungal infections and Athlete’s foot

There are millions of people that are facing the problem with athlete’s foot. It is essentially a fungal infection, that can cause dry skin, thick and discolored toenails, rashes, itching blisters, and raw skin on the feet.

The reason that this problem appears are shoes that will make your feet sweat, not maintaining a proper hygiene, damp socks, weak immune system etc.

HOME REMEDIES FOR ATHLETE’S FOOT:

Apple cider vinegar

You need to take one glass of water and then add one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, and drink the mixture on an empty stomach in the morning.

You can also prepare an apple cider vinegar bath and soak your feet in it. To prepare the bath, you need to put some warm water in your tub, and then add 15 ounces of apple cider vinegar in it. You will need to soak your feet for 30 minutes in this mixture and then take a clean towel and dry them. This should be repeated every day.

White vinegar

Fill your tub with some warm water and then add one cup of white vinegar in the water. Soak your feet for half an hour in this mixture, and then use a clean towel to dry them. Repeat this process every day.

Garlic

You need to mince three garlic cloves and then mix them with half a teaspoon of olive oil. You will end up with a pasty mixture, that you need to apply to the affected area. Leave it there for 45 minutes. Then, wash your feet with some lukewarm water and dry them with the help of a clean towel. This procedure should be repeated twice a day.

Listerine

Fill your tub with some warm water and add equal amounts of white vinegar and Listerine. Then soak your feet in this mixture for half an hour and then use some warm water to wash them. This process should be repeated twice a day.

Tea tree oil

You can mix one tablespoon of olive oil and seven drops of tea tree oil. Then take a cotton ball and soak it in this mixture and apply it directly to the affected area. You can leave the cotton on for half an hour and then wash it with lukewarm water. This process should be repeated twice a day.

Borax

To treat this problem with borax, you will need to fill your tub with some warm water and then add two tablespoons of baking soda, five drops of lavender oil, one tablespoon of borax, and three drops of patchouli oil. Mix until everything dissolves, and then soak your feet in it. Leave your feet in this mixture for 15 minutes and then dry them with the help of a clean towel.

Vicks

Vicks need to be applied to the affected area, and then massage it and put some clean socks on. Leave the socks on during the night and then wash it off with lukewarm water in the morning.

Tips

  • You need to keep your feet dry and clean all the time.
  • Do not share linens, rugs, and towels with anyone.
  • Wear pool slippers or sandals in public showers.
  • Change your shoes every day.
  • Use talcum powder.
  • Avoid tight shoes at any cost.
  • Allow your feet a space to breathe.
