I always go out and pick the freshest vegetables, not only for their look, but also because they’re packed in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. To preserve the vitamins and the minerals, you should cook the vegetables the proper way.
Many vegetables have to be cooked in a gradually heated way and many of them are tastier and more useful if are immediately places in boiling water.
If the vegetable is growing below ground, you should start the cooking process with cold water and slowly increasing the temperature.
If the vegetable is growing above the ground, you should start the cooking process in hot – boiling water. This means, you first have to boil the water and then add the vegetable.
Be sure to apply this rule because with the heat you’re losing certain properties of the vegetables. In order to make sure that’s not going to happen you should cook the vegetables the proper way.
