How to Remove Mucus and Excess Phlegm In Chest and Throat

We often have problems with nasal paths congestion and throat. As a result of this, we cough and breathe heavy too. This can be a result of more phlegm in lungs.

Phlegm fights infections and cold. It is thick and is secreted by mucous membranes of the respiratory tract. When it gets into the throat and chest, we cough in order to remove it but excess lung phlegm is due to a virus, flu, bacteria, cold and more.

Too much phlegm makes hard breathing, cough, runny nose, weakness, and fever. If we do not remove it, this can block bronchial tubes and make more problems. There are many natural remedies that can reduce treat breathing problems and phlegm.

LEMON AND HONEY

Lemon and honey mix relieves and soothes the breathing organs. Lemon is rich in vitamin C and boost immunity, and honey kills fungi and bacteria. Get 2tbsp lemon juice and 1 tbsp. honey and mix them. Consume this mixture 3 times a day for congestion and infection removal.

GINGER

This is antihistamine and decongestant and removes bacteria. Ginger root can soothe throat and chest and can remove phlegm. You should eat 4 slices of ginger every day and you should also drink a few cups ginger tea. Get 1 tsp black peppercorns, 1 tsp honey, 2 cups water, and 7 slices ginger. Now, boil the water and add ginger and peppercorns. Boil this mixture and cover the pan. Then, lower heat and simmer 7 min. and remove it from heat to cool. Now, add honey. Drink 3 cups of this every day.

ACV

Apple cider vinegar is the best antibacterial cure since it stops excess phlegm and keeps healthy pH. Gargle some water with 1 tbsp ACV every day.

TURMERIC

Turmeric contains curcumin and successfully removes bacteria. For this purpose, get a glass of water, ½ tsp salt, and 1 tsp turmeric. Add turmeric to water and mix. After that add salt and mix again. You need to gargle 4 times every day to reduce phlegm and to soothe the throat.

STEAMING

Steaming is the best way to loosen mucus. Vapors breathing and steam loosen the mucus. Get 5 cups boiling water, ½ tsp thyme, ½ tsp rosemary. Add the rosemary and thyme to the water and lean over this. You should inhale the steam 4 times daily.

To prevent phlegm and mucus, avoid cold foods and drinks, and blow the nose. You should also stop smoking. In order to control mucus, avoid chemicals, cleaners, fumes and use humidifier. You should not swallow phlegm and just gargle warm water and spit this. You should also eat spicy foods like garlic and peppers.
